Hi Ho Cherry-O has been a classic children's board game for several decades. Made by the Parker Brothers gaming company, the objectives of the game are to promote sharing and teach counting to preschool children from age 3 to 6. You can play with between 2 and 4 players. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Hi Ho Cherry-O game board and "trees"
  • 10 plastic cherries per player
  • 1 plastic bucket per player
  • Spinner

Step1
Choose a tree and hang 10 cherries on the tree. Each player should have his or her own tree, cherries and bucket.
Step2
Take turns spinning the spinner. As each person spins, he or she can land on the number 1, 2, 3 or 4. This number indicates how many cherries each player has to pick off the tree and put in his or her bucket. If the spinner lands on the dog or the bird, the player must put two cherries back on the tree. If the spinner stops on the spilled bucket icon, the player must dump all of his cherries out of his or her bucket. Then hang the cherries back on the tree.
Step3
Alternate who spins until someone has all 10 cherries in his or her bucket. This person is declared the winner. The remaining players can keep going until they all end up with 10 cherries in their buckets too.
