How to Create a Vision Board

Vision boards are an ever-changing collage of your goals and dreams--a wonderful way to consistently remind yourself to keep focused and that your stars are obtainable. Using a regular corkboard, thumbtacks, and pictures of wanted accomplishments cut out of magazines or printed from a computer, you can easily create a vision board filled with your dreams, set goals or even vague ideas of your desires.

Instructions

    • 1

Collect several images that define your goals and dreams. Use placeholders where they are an option such as a dollar sign for a desire to "become rich," or a classic car if you're longing to become a classic car restorer. Effective images are vital when creating a vision board that inspires.

Select a corkboard to be your vision board. Remember the pictures you have collected and use this as a basis to what size board you will need.

    • 3

Place your images along the corkboard in a collage that works for you. Make sure that each image can be replaced easily.

    • 4

Create your vision board. Use your thumbtacks to pin down each picture in the layout you chose.

    • 5

Choose a location to place your newly-created vision board. Pick somewhere you will see it often, like your office, bathroom, nightstand or even on your refrigerator.

    • 6

Change your pictures whenever it suits your mood. Remember that creating a vision board is an inspiring process that can be done over whenever your dreams or goals change.

Great info! A vision board is really an awesome way to visualize the things you want to achieve. Put it in a prominent place - by your desk or in the kitchen - somewhere you spend a lot of time

We do this. But we aren't materialistic, so ours are mainly what I want in a job, good health, etc. Although, my daughter has a vacuum cleaner (the one we have weighs a ton and this is her chore). Good article.
