Go to a children's party and notice how everyone, young and old, is watching the clown making animals out of balloons. No matter how old we get, we are still fascinated by the ability to make something out of nothing. Making balloon animals may be beyond some of our abilities, but everyone can learn how to make a flower out of a paper napkin. Entertain children and family or give it as a gift to your mother or girlfriend.

Instructions

    • 1

Unfold a paper napkin all the way. Bright colors look nicer but any napkin will do.

    • 2

Fold the top 2 inches of the napkin down. Use your fingers to create a crisp crease.

    • 3

Take your first 2 fingers and place the paper napkin between them. Your fingers should be along the left edge of the fold.

    • 4

Grasp the other side of the napkin and wrap it around your 2 fingers. These will be the petals. Don't wrap it too tightly or your fingers will get stuck.

    • 5

Continue to hold on to the top of the napkin with the 2 fingers. With your other hand grab the napkin below the petals and start twisting tightly. Stop 2 inches from the bottom.

    • 6

Grab one of the corners and pull it loose. This will be the leaf. Continue twisting the remainder of the napkin all the way to the bottom.

    • 7

Remove your fingers from the petal section of the flower and use them to gently spread out the petals.
