Most of us know about all the usual wedding traditions like the father-daughter dance, the mother-son dance, or the newly married couple's first dance together at the reception. The bouquet toss is another tradition that you may want to have at your wedding. You can make it even more fun by choosing some music and then tossing away to the beat!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide whether you want to toss the bouquet at your wedding. After all it is your day so make sure you're doing what you want. If you decide you'd like to, choose a song to accompany your toss.

  2. Step 2

Ask your DJ or band for bouquet toss song suggestions. Usually the professionals you've hired to supply your music have great suggestions about music to accompany wedding traditions.

  3. Step 3

Search for bouquet toss song suggestions. Since weddings are such a big business now, there are many websites that offer song suggestions for many wedding traditions, including the bouquet toss. Listen to the radio and ask family and friends for suggestions.

  4. Step 4

    Choose a song.

  5. Step 5

Have your DJ or band introduce the bouquet toss at the wedding. If you're doing something a little different than the typical toss, have the DJ or band tell the guests so they know what to expect.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have your florist make up a separate toss bouquet if you want to keep your formal bouquet.
  • Feel free to do what you want, whether it's the traditional bouquet toss, a slightly different tradition, or a break from the tradition all together. It's your day!
