Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 tea bags
  • 2 cups sugar
  • Sugar
  • Pan
  • Water
  • Large spoon
  • Stove
  • Tea bags
  1. Step 1

    Boil water in a small pan or teakettle.

  2. Step 2

    Prepare 6 tea bags of your choice by removing them from their packaging and tying the strings together.

  3. Step 3

    Place the bags in the water once it is boiling and turn off the burner.

  4. Step 4

    Let the tea steep for about 1 hour, or to your own liking.

  5. Step 5

    Pour 2 cups of sugar into a 1 gallon pitcher.

  6. Step 6

    Transfer the tea into the pitcher and stir with a large wooden spoon to dissolve the sugar.

  7. Step 7

    Fill the rest of the pitcher with cold water and stir.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use ice and ice cold water to fill the rest of the pitcher and cool the sweet tea faster.
  • Add or subtract from the amount of sugar depending on your personal preference.
  • Not letting the tea steep long enough will make your sweet tea very weak.
