A choral concert features music, usually classical, performed by a group of singers. Here is how to find and enjoy a choral concert.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Learn about choral concerts. Listen to some choral music on the Internet to get your ears used to the music or borrow or buy some CDs featuring choral groups.

  2. Step 2

To find a performance, check the local paper, or go online to track down music events in your area. If the event requires tickets or a reservation, make the proper arrangements.

  3. Step 3

Dress well for the event. Most choral concerts are semiformal occasions, and casual dress just won't do.

  4. Step 4

Show up at the venue with enough time to park and present your tickets at the box office. Find your seat and settle in before the concert begins.

  5. Step 5

Before the concert begins, think about the samples of choral music you listened to and prepare to be charmed by the power of the human voice.

  6. Step 6

Applaud politely. Save the standing ovation for the end of the performance.

Tips & Warnings
  • Turn off your cell phone during the choral concert. If you have a pager, set it on vibrate mode to avoid disturbing others.
  • Leave the camcorder or any recording device at home. If you need to record for professional reasons, contact the management and clear it..
  • Choral concert-goers take their music seriously. Do not interfere with their enjoyment of the show with excessive whispering or talking.
