Bump is a great game played on the basketball court. If your the person that LOVES hitting other people's balls in croquet, this is the basketball game for you! The object is to make a shot before the person in front of you in line does and if that fails, make it before the person behind you.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Basetballs
  • Basketball hoop
  • At least three players, preferably more than six
  1. Step 1

Determine the order in which you are going to shoot (pick a number/rock, paper, scissors) and what line you are using (free throw or three point). I recommend the three point line.

  2. Step 2

The first person in line shoots and as soon as his or her shot leaves his or her hand, the second person in line is allowed to shoot.

  3. Step 3

If the first person makes the ball, he or she then passes it to the next person in line. If the first person misses, they can get their own rebound and try to make a shot from anywhere (even a lay up) as long as the second person has not made a shot yet.

  4. Step 4

If the first person misses and the second person makes their shot, the first person is out and both balls are returned to line.

  5. Step 5

If the first person makes a shot and the second person misses, the ball is passed to the third player who is now trying to get the second person out.

  6. Step 6

This continues until there is only one player left. When it's down to two players, the first player runs back to the line to shoot after he or she makes a shot, instead of passing the ball to the next person in line.

  7. Step 7

The name of the game comes from the fact that you can use your ball to bump the other person's ball, so long as you haven't yet made a basketball and neither has he or she.
