Things You'll Need:
- Wide Belts
- Darth Maul Costumes
- Jedi Communicators
- Obi-Wan Kenobi Costume
- Qui-Gon Jinn Costume
- Light Sabers
-
Step 1
Get a white or off-white karate jacket that fits loosely around the shoulders. The jacket should be comfortable enough to provide unrestricted movement during extended duels with Darth Maul. Wear the jacket over a white or off-white T-shirt.
-
Step 2
Fit a wide brown or black leather belt around your waist, over the jacket.
-
Step 3
Put on a pair of loose-fitting pants or pajama bottoms that are white or off-white. These should be comfortable enough to leap from a space port onto the deck of a moving ship.
-
Step 4
Find a pair of calf-length black or brown boots, and tuck your pants into the boots. Tall riding boots work best for this. Buying a pair can be costly, so if you don't own a pair, try to borrow them.
-
Step 5
Create a belt hook by cutting about 4 inches off the end of a wire coat hanger with wire cutters. Bend it around your belt, leaving an open section that creates a hook.
-
Step 6
Pick up a toy light saber and hang it off your belt. Light saber colors do not signify Force alliance, but are a frequency preference personal to each Jedi, so pick your favorite color.
-
Step 7
Drape on a large brown robe with wide sleeves and a large hood.
-
Step 8
May the Force be with you.

on 11/22/2005 Lightsaber colors reflect the types of Jedi, not their rank. Green represents the Jedi Consular, who has a greater affinity with the force and are devoted more to meditation than to combat. Blue represents the Jedi Guardians, who specialize in the use of the lightsaber and useful Force fighting techniques. The Yellow represent a Jedi Sentinel, none of whom appear in the movies. They specialize in an oft-neglected role of the Jedi; administering justice. They use the force to determine when someone is lying or telling the truth, and are best at settling conflicts. Luke Skywalker had a blue lightsaber, but only because it belonged to his father Anakin, who was a Guardian. By the time Luke constructed his own lightsaber, he had realized he was a Consular.

on 11/22/2005 There are many colors to the lightsaber and they're only loosely connected with Masters and Padawans. After the Sith destroyed the Crystal Caves only blue and green crystals could be found. But Mace Windu ventured into a cave and found a purple crystal.

on 11/22/2005 Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber because when George Lucas asked Samuel what color lightsaber he wanted, Samuel smiled and said purple because that is his favorite color. Also, Obi Wan has a blue lightsaber and he is referred to as Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi a couple of times. When Obi Wan comes in to talk to Yoda, while Yoda is training younglings, many younglings have green lightsabers, they are not masters. On the first battle of the Clone Wars, when Mace Windu and other Jedi rescue Obi Wan, Anakin, and Padme, many Jedi Masters there have blue lightsabers. When I looked up information, I found that colors matter only on what color crystals the Jedi obtain, or what color they want.

on 11/22/2005 You said that the color of a light saber does not matter to the Jedi, but it does. Padawans get blue, Masters get green, and the Dark Side gets red. Master Mace Windu is the only exception to this. He has a purple light saber because he is caught between the ranks of Master Yoda (the top dog) and the ranks of any other Jedi master, such as Qui Gon Jin.
