How to Play Tag

Children take turns being "it" and trying to catch each other.

Things You'll Need

  • Running Shoes
  • Antibacterial Soaps
  • Sunscreen
  • Running/sports Drinks
  • Play this game with at least three players aged 4 and up.

  • Designate a specific area where the game is to be played. Make sure there are clear boundaries. The smaller the area, the easier the game will be.

  • Announce that you are "it."

  • Have the players stand in a circle a short distance away from you.

  • Yell "Go!" to begin the game.

  • Run after the other players and attempt to "tag" (touch) one of them. Yell, "Tag, you're it," when you tag someone, who immediately becomes "it."

  • Run away as the new "it" tries to chase and tag you or one of the other players.

  • Play the game until everyone has been "it" or you're tired.

Tips & Warnings

  • Explain to the players that "it" should only touch the players, not tackle them.
