How to Remove Rear Seat Bottom in the 2006 VW Passat
The Passat arrived in the 1974 model year, but under a different name, as Volkswagen named it the Dasher in the North America market. In 1982, VW released the Quantum as the replacement for the Dasher, but it was not as well received as the Dasher, and only was produced for seven model years. In 1990, VW brought the Passat to the U.S. in the form of a sedan and wagon. The 2006 Passat came standard with a 200-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and enough room to seat five adults. Removing the rear seat cushion on the 2006 Passat is tricky, as there is no latch to unlock it from the floorboard.
