How to Add Thumbnail Pics to TVersity

You can define a thumbnail image that you would like to use for a file in your Tversity library by modifying one of that file's properties through your Web browser. Tversity will then use your defined image to identify that file in any compatible device that can access your TVersity library. Identifying files with thumbnails can increase the speed with which you browse your library, particularly if you have a lot of similarly named files that all appear in the same directory.

    • 1

Open a Web browser window, paste "http://localhost:41952" into the address bar at the top of the window, then press "Enter" on your keyboard.

    • 2

Click the link at the left side of the window for the type of media for which you want to add a thumbnail, go to the specific file, then click the link for that file.

    • 3

Click inside the address bar at the top of the window, then use your mouse to highlight the ID of the file located to the right of "vb=." For example, your file ID may be similar to "132483/559."

    • 4

Press "Ctrl" and "C" to copy the highlighted ID.

    • 5

Open a new Web browser window, then paste "" into the address bar at the top of the field.

    • 6

Select the "xxxxxx/xxxx" text, then press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste your copied ID.

    • 7

Replace the "file://your-file-location" portion of the text with the location of the file that you want to specify as your thumbnail image. For example, if your file is located in the "Pictures" folder on your hard drive and is titled "Movie.jpg," then the file location might be "file://C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Movie.jpg." Press "Enter" to apply the change.
