DIY iPod Boombox
If your boombox does not feature a built-in cradle for iPods, you can make your own iPod boombox using the auxiliary connection on your boombox. This connection allows you to listen to media files on your iPod though the speakers on your boombox. The connection requires the use of a 3.5 millimeter mini stereo to RCA adapter cable.

Connect the 3.5-millimeter end of the adapter cable to the headphone jack on your iPod.

Connect the color-coded RCA cables into the color-coded "AUX" connections on your boombox.

Press the "Input" button on your boombox and select the "AUX" setting.

Press "Play" on your iPod to begin playback through the speakers on your boombox.
