How to Install a Wooden Frame Around a Bathroom Mirror

Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- Wood molding strips
- Saw
- Paint (optional)
- Wood stain (optional)
- Sandpaper (optional)
- Adhesive
- Masking tape

Measure the width and the height of the mirror, using a measuring tape.

Cut four lengths of wood molding strips, one for each side of the mirror, using a saw.

Bevel each end of the wood strips at a 45-degree angle. This allows the strips to fit together at the corners.

Finish the wood molding in a way that matches your bathroom. Depending on your tastes, this may mean staining, painting or simply sanding.

Apply a thin layer of glue to the back of one molding strip, and press the molding strip against the mirror’s edge. You can use any waterproof glue for this purpose. Clear epoxy and marine glue are both excellent choices for this project.

Secure the strip to the mirror with a piece of masking tape, holding it in place while the adhesive cures.

Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other strips.

Allow the adhesive to cure completely. This amount of time is referenced on the packaging.

Remove the tape.
