How to Center a Pattern From the Swatches in Illustrator
To center any object in Adobe Illustrator CS5, including swatch pattern-filled objects, you will need to align it to the artboard. The artboard is either a rectangle or square and its size varies according to your settings. Regardless of your artboard's size, its edges become the boundary in which this pattern will center on a vertical or horizontal axis. The pattern can also be aligned to appear in the center of the artboard.
