How to Make a Lamp Out of a Heineken BeerTender Keg

Once you've finished your beer, reuse the keg as a lamp for future game days.

With the help of a purchased lamp kit, you can make a lamp out of just about anything. Buy a lamp harp and lamp shade or strip an unwanted lamp for parts. Use a Heineken mini keg and an old lamp shade to make a lighting piece worthy of any Man Cave.

Things You'll Need

• Bottle lamp kit with rubber adapters
• Heineken DraughtKeg
• Glue gun
• Drill
• Lamp harp
• Lamp shade
• Light bulb

Instructions

1. Place the Heineken DraughtKeg on its end. Remove the tap and feed the cord from the lamp kit into the keg. Secure the lighting fixture in the tap hole, using the rubber adapters to expand it and fit it securely in the hole. Orient the fixture vertically and straight, then hot glue it into place.

2. Drill a hole into the side of the keg near the bottom and bring the lamp cord out through it.

3. Attach a lamp harp to the light fixture, then add a lamp shade. Put in the light bulb and plug in to finish your functional beer keg lamp.
