DIY Crochet Pouf
A bath pouf can make a shower or bath more pleasant as it makes mountains of luscious soap bubbles. While you may find a bath pouf readily available in many department or drug stores, you can also make your own if you have basic crafting skills. Make a DIY crochet pouf to use in the shower using simple supplies and crochet tools. You must possess basic crochet skills to complete this project.

1
Make a slipknot with the nylon crochet thread and place the knot onto the crochet hook. Chain 15 chains. Join the last chain and the first chain to make a circle. Chain one stitch.
-
2
Crochet 46 single-crochet stitches around the circle. Join the last stitch and the first stitch with a slipstitch.

3
Chain one stitch. Begin making the loops by crocheting a single crochet in the front loop only of the first stitch, chaining 30 stitches and crocheting a second single crochet in the front loop only of the same stitch. Continue this pattern around the entire circle and join the last single crochet and the first single crochet with a slipstitch.

4
Make a slipstitch in the first loop. Chain three and crochet 69 double crochets in this loop. Crochet 70 double crochets in each loop around the circle. Join the last double crochet and the first chain-three with a slipstitch.
-
5
Chain 70 and then make a slipstitch at the base of the chain to make a loop for hanging the pouf. Chain one and crochet 100 single crochets around the loop you just made. Join the last single crochet to the base of the loop with a slipstitch.

Cut off the nylon thread to leave a 4-inch tail. Pull the tail all the way through the remaining loop on the crochet hook and make it tight to secure the tail. Thread the tail through the yarn needle and bury the tail of thread into the finished stitches. Cut off the excess thread to finish.

Tips & Warnings
Although you could also use cotton crochet thread or sport-weight yarn to make this pouf, using the nylon crochet thread makes a pouf that resembles the poufs you can purchase ready-made.
