DIY Tutu Wreaths
A tutu wreath is a simple but cute craft that can be used to celebrate just about any holiday or occasion. Make it red and green for Christmas, orange and black for Halloween or use pink tulle to decorate the wreath for a little girl's birthday party. If you love the way wreaths look but spending a lot of money is out of the question, tulle can be purchased inexpensively at all fabric stores.

1
Wrap a foam wreath base with the 10 yards of wide ribbon to hide the foam. Use straight pins to secure the ribbon to the foam. Use ribbon that matches the tulle you are using. If you are using a grapevine wreath, leave the plastic on the wreath, and do nothing to prepare a wire wreath base.

2
Cut tulle into strips. The length of the strips depends on how big and fluffy you want the wreath to appear. For a less fluffy wreath, start at 8 inches; the tulle strips can be as long as 20 inches for a very full looking wreath. It also depends on what your base is made of. Try a couple of strips in different lengths before you cut all of them to see what looks best to you.

3
Tie the strips on to the wreath base, covering the base completely. Make the knots close together and the strips side by side to obscure the wreath base and make a full wreath with no gaps.
-
4
Add some ribbons to the wreath for decoration. Tie several large ribbons around the wreath base and make bows with them, or hot glue smaller bows on to the tulle with a glue gun. Alternately, add small embellishments such as artificial flowers, crystals or butterflies.
