How to Make a Baby Blossom Clothing Bouquet Gift for a Boy
Create a beautiful bouquet of baby clothing and accessories to offer as a unique shower gift for a mother-to-be. You can customize the bouquet to the size you like and present it in a simple vase or a keepsake flowerpot. Make the bouquet from blue blankets, washcloths, clothing and socks for a traditionally blue baby boy gift, or make a colorful bouquet from green, tan, yellow, white and blue baby gifts instead. - Baby blanket
- Flowerpot
- Straight pin
- Plastic wrap
- Green floral foam
- 6 to 8 baby washcloths
- Elastic bands
- Green floral wire
- Green floral tape
- 5 pairs baby socks
- 5 diaper shirts
- 3 pairs baby pants

Fold a baby blanket in half lengthwise. Arrange the folded blanket around the inside of the flowerpot. The folded edge of the blanket should overhang the top of the flowerpot slightly. Insert a pin to hold the ends of the blanket together.

Wrap a piece of plastic wrap around the green floral foam, leaving the top of the foam exposed. Insert the foam into the flowerpot on top of the blanket.

Fold six to eight baby washcloths in half. Roll the washcloths and wrap an elastic band around the bottom of the roll.

Cut six to 8 pieces of green floral wire. Make each piece about 8 inches long (or at least 1 inch taller than the flowerpot.) Slide one end of each piece of wire into the center of each washcloth roll.

Wrap a piece of green floral tape around the bottom of each washcloth roll to hide the elastic and wind the tape all the way down the wire to make the stem. You can add a silk leave to each wire stem as you wind the tape if you like.

Roll up 10 baby socks and fold the sock opening over the roll to keep the shape. Cut 10 pieces of floral wire, each about 9 inches long. Insert one end of each wire into the opening of each baby sock flower. Wrap floral tape around the sock opening and down the stem. Insert silk leaves if you like.

Fold five diaper shirts in half lengthwise. Tuck in the arms and roll up each shirt. Wrap an elastic band around the bottom of each rolled shirt. Cut five pieces of floral wire, each 7 1/2 inches long, and insert one end of each wire into the bottom of the rolls. Wrap floral tape around the bottom of the shirts and down the length of the wires. Insert silk leaves if you like.

Fold three pairs of baby pants in half, roll them up and wrap an elastic band around the bottom of each roll. Cut three pieces of floral wire, each 7 1/2 inches long, and insert the ends into the rolls. Wrap floral tape around the bottom of the rolls and down the wire stems.

Insert the wire stems into the floral foam in the flowerpot. Arrange the clothing and accessories so the smaller washcloth and sock blossoms protrude slightly above the diaper shirts and pants.
