Step 1
Purchase 5-by-7-inch card blanks or 10-by-14-inch sheets of card stock, medium-weight watercolor paper or construction paper to use as your card base.

Purchase envelopes to fit, or make your own.

Fold the card paper lengthwise so it measures 5 by 14 inches, and cut it in half to make two 5-by-7-inch cards.

Cut a piece of fabric 6 by 8 inches.

Iron paper-backed fusible web to the back of the fabric, following manufacturer's instructions. Place a piece of brown paper bag under your work area to keep the webbing from sticking to your ironing board cover.

Peel the paper from the webbing and place one edge of the fabric along the folded edge of the card with the fabric side facing you and the webbing against the card.

Step 7
Iron using medium heat. Avoid using steam.

Trim excess fabric from the edges.

Decorate the card with ribbon, laces or appliqués.
