    Things You'll Need

    • Nativity Sets
    • Plastic Animals
    • Lincoln Logs
      • 1

Imagine a rectangle with an open or almost open front and a roof - this is your goal.

      • 2

Choose your foundation - if you have little skill, stick with one long log (for the back) and two medium logs (for the sides). If you want to get fancy, add two short ones (for partial walls in front). If you want to get really fancy, build a window or two as you go.

      • 3

Build up the "manger" to about six inches high.

      • 4

Lay the roof, using the long, green, flat pieces.

      • 5

Decorate. Lay branches on the roof, fill and surround the manger with dry grass or straw, add some nativity scene figures and some plastic animals.

Our family has a cherished Nativity Scene that we made with LEGOs. Annikan Skywalker is the baby Jesus and it includes Mary and Joseph, a stable, star, angel, donkey, 2 sheep, shepherd, 3 kings, loose hay, and plants/trees... all from our old Legos.
