How to Make a Sticky Tack
Sticky tack is a reusable adhesive that's very useful in holding up lightweight items like posters or photos. You can also use sticky tack to repair minor household issues. The sticky tack will be most adhesive at its first use, but it can be reused several times before it loses all adhesive properties. You can make your own sticky tack from a few household items.
Things You'll Need
- 2 tbsp. Elmer's white glue
- 1 tbsp. liquid starch
- Small glass container or cup
- Fork
- Food coloring (optional)

3
Take the mixture out of the container and work it well with your hands.

4
Add extra glue or liquid starch as necessary while you're working the sticky tack in your hands. Keep working the mixture until it is a well-blended and relatively dry ball.
-
5
Add a drop of food coloring in the center of the sticky tack, and spread it around by rubbing the sticky tack together. Work the sticky tack in your hands until the color is evenly distributed.

Tips & Warnings
Store the sticky tack in a Tupperware container or a small plastic baggie so it doesn't dry out.
Test this recipe out first, but if necessary, you can add more glue to make the sticky tack stickier.
Only make as much as you need for a few days -- the homemade sticky tack tends to dry out more quickly than the store-bought version.
