Sugaring is a hair removal technique similar to waxing. Waxing and sugaring both use the same technique to pull hair out, but sugaring uses natural ingredients and doesn't attach to the skin, so it is less painful. Make a sugaring solution at home and use it for a Brazilian wax by removing all the hair in the pubic region. Prepare the hair by washing it and trimming to 1/8 inch before sugaring.

Add 2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup water to a pot. Heat slowly, stirring continuously, until the mixture reaches 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not let it boil.

Leave the mixture in the pot until it is cool enough to handle. Pour it into a heat-proof jar like a canning jar.

Dip a spatula into the mixture and stir it. It should have the consistency of a honey. Smooth the sugar mixture over the pubic hair. Work in small sections. Place the cotton strips over the sugared hair and press it so it sticks.

Hold the cotton on the spot for 2 to 3 seconds. Grasp the bottom of the cloth and pull it backwards, against the direction of hair growth, while holding it as close to the skin as possible. Do not pull the fabric up and back.

Continue to remove hair in this manner until you have removed all the pubic hair from the region, including around the anus and perineum.

Wash any residue off with cool water. Sugar is water-soluble, so cleaning up is easy. Keep the area clean and exfoliate regularly to prevent ingrown hairs.
