How to Remove a Bosch Dishwasher Control Circuit

When your Bosch dishwasher suddenly stops working, or the functions on the control panel do not operate correctly, it might be time to replace the control circuit. The control circuit controls most of the electronics in the Bosch dishwasher. Accessing the control circuit board does require some dis-assembly of the dishwasher. Removing a Bosch dishwasher control circuit allows you to examine it for damage and replace it if necessary. Replacement circuit boards are available through Bosch and appliance repair shops.

Things You'll Need

  • Torx driver
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Turn off the circuit breaker to the Bosch dishwasher. If your Bosch dishwasher uses a power cord, unplug the cord from the dedicated outlet.

  • Open the Bosch dishwasher door, and remove the Torx screws securing the front control console to the door with a Torx driver. There is a screw at each corner and a screw below the corner screws on each side.

  • Close the door, without latching it to the dishwasher. Pull up on the front control console to release it from the front of the dishwasher. Pull the control console toward you, and flip it slightly so you have access to the back of the console.

  • Disconnect each of the wire connectors on the control console box. The control console box is the large white box on the right side of the control console. Grab the wire connectors with your fingers to pull them away from the control console box.

  • Pry the clips that secure the cover to the box with a small flathead screwdriver. Remove the cover from the control console box. Unhook the clips from the control circuit board with your fingers, and pull the control circuit out of the Bosch dishwasher.
