How to Send a Music Link on Facebook

Facebook offers you multiple ways of sharing information.

Facebook allows you to share your thoughts, pictures, links and other content with your friends. You can share content by posting it to your own Wall, a friend's Wall or by sending a private message. When browsing music on the Web, you may have the urge to send the link to a Facebook friend who may also enjoy it. Posting the link on a friend's Wall will prominently display the link for him to see the next time he logs in.

Instructions

1. Left-click and drag your mouse over the music link you wish to share, to highlight it.

2. Right-click on the highlighted text and select "Copy."

3. Type in the name of your friend in Facebook's search bar at the top of the screen and click on his profile from the list that appears to access his Wall.

4. Click on "Link" near the middle of the screen.

5. Click in text box that appears to place your cursor there.

6. Right-click with your mouse and select "Paste" from the options.

7. Click "Attach" next to the text box to post the link to your friend's Wall.

Tips & Warnings

• Send music links via private message by clicking on "Messages" on the left side of the Facebook News Feed page. Click "New Message" and type your friend's name in the "To" box. Copy and paste the link in the "Message" box and click "Send" to send the link privately.

• Do not post offensive content to a friend's Wall. Make sure that anything you post is appropriate to avoid upsetting your friend or having the content be reported to Facebook for violating its terms of service.
