Homemade Recipes for Soft Skin
Soft skin never goes out of style, but sometimes it can be hard to maintain. Weather, stress, illness and improper skin care can cause the face to appear rough and dull. Natural remedies for soft skin are easy, and the ingredients can be found in your refrigerator and cabinets.
-
Cleanser
-
Bowl of honey
Cleanse the skin with a potassium-rich honey cleanser made of 1/2 cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of mild liquid soap and 1/2 cup of water. Honey clarifies skin by killing bacteria that causes blemishes and blackheads.
Scrub
-
Spoonful of sugar
Use sugar as a facial scrub. The glycolic acid in sugar will keep skin free of wrinkles and remove any dead or rough skin cells.
Mask
-
Bowl of yogurt
For skin balance and overall softness, use yogurt as a facial mask. Apply yogurt to the face for 15 minutes and rinse with cool water to reveal smooth, youthful skin.
Toner
-
Green and red apples
Combine 2 tablespoons of witch hazel and 1/2 cup of apple juice. Apples give skin a youthful glow, while the witch hazel soothes skin and refines pores.
Serum
-
Egg yolks
Make a serum for the face with a mixture of an egg yolk and a 1/2 tablespoon of honey and apply it to the face for ten minutes. Honey contains vitamins and minerals that smooth skin, and egg yolks have lecithin.
Night Treatment
-
Olive oil
An intensive nourishing night treatment consisting of 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil and 1 teaspoon of olive oil is an excellent skin softener. Olive oil is clarifying and moisturizing, and vitamin E oil repairs skin while reversing free radical damage from the environment.
