What Is Adobe Photoshop CS2?
Released in 2004, Adobe Photoshop CS2 is an older version of the popular graphics editing software. History
-
Adobe Photoshop was first released in 1990, but the groundwork for this amazing product began with the release of the first Macintosh computer in 1984. Photoshop evolved from a 1988 product called ImagePro, written by brothers John and Thomas Knoll, to satisfy a need for desktop software that could do what specialist computers at the labs of special-effects giant Industrial Light and Magic could do.
Who Uses Photoshop CS2?
-
Graphics editors who work with photography, videos or web page design use Adobe Photoshop CS2 for its large variety of image editing tools.
-
Pros
-
As the standard in image editing, Adobe Photoshop CS2 contains a massive selection of tools. The software plays nice with other Adobe products so you can move images seamlessly between Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, Flash or Fireworks.
Cons
-
Adobe Photoshop CS2 takes up 1GB of hard-drive space, and requires at minimum 512K RAM and 64K VRAM. Having an abundance of editing tools also means a hefty learning curve for less-experienced graphic designers.
New Features in CS2
-
The CS2 version of Photoshop debuted click-and-drag multiple layer control, 32-bit image support, advanced noise reduction for cleaner images, and quick and easy web animations. It also offered for the first time the ability to import raw image data directly from a digital camera and one-click red-eye correction.
