With the Internet ablaze with everyone and their mother debating the color of a simple dress (for the record, I see gold and white), it got me thinking about the different ways that we perceive things.
Women and men who have the ability to “see” things in a different light constantly inspire me. From turning a plain piece of wood into a chalkboard to designing a kid’s tugboat from cardboard, ordinary everyday items are getting transformed into Pinterest-worthy projects by creative masterminds. Here are my current faves that you and your kids will love…
Turn an outdated cabinet into a retro kid’s kitchen.
Put this in the playroom and let game night begin.
Do this if you’re still holding on to last year’s calendar.
Thanks, Dad. We’ll just take that plain old shirt of yours and make this adorable girl’s dress.
Also, some things that have caught my eye from around the web:
A bag that belongs on my daughter’s shoulder.
Kelle Hampton’s airplane birthday party for Dash.
If you’re kids can resist eating it, this activity is a must.
