Whether on a tight budget or feeling extra earth-friendly, thrift stores and yard sales are excellent stops for picking up decorative items for any space. Liking the idea but not sure what to buy? A few no fail thrift store finds are just what you need.
Become a book worm. Not a big reader? Nevermind that. Stack books on coffee tables, arrange them on bookshelves, or frame pages for inexpensive wall art. With books, the possibilities are endless. Especially considering the purchase of a used book will often only set you back just a couple of bucks.
Frame it up. Empty frames are a creative and super budget-friendly way to add shabby chic charm to any room. Create a frame collage on an empty wall or prop up a few on a side table or bookshelf.
Doors & Windows. My infatuation with old doors and windows is one that I refuse to let die. Antique stores make a great attempt to mark up these babies, but they can also be found at many thrift stores for a fraction of the price. What’s better? Keep you ears open for friends who are replacing old windows in their house. They will be thrilled to have you haul their old ones away.
