Hi! You can call me Nana if you like, but my real name is Amy Sinibaldi and I’m far too young to be anyone’s nana (far, far too young, I like to tell myself!) ‘Nana’ is actually an acronym for the names of the first four members of my family.
I started my blog, nanaCompany, three years ago, but my creative adventures truly began in 2007 when I first opened my nanaCompany shop on Etsy. My earliest crafty projects? Sweet little aprons for girls and play cookies made of felt and sprinkle beads. Fast forward to the present (I’ve learned to sew ‘like a pro’ thanks to an online education, including articles from eHow), and I’m now a proud and ongoing contributor to numerous sewing books and magazines published in the US and internationally. I’m also currently working on my very first book—yay!!
Are you a crafty girl? Just beginning or full-on craft-addict? While I love paper crafts and dabbling in small DIY projects around the home, my real love and addiction is playing with fabric. The sky’s the limit with all the thing fun things you can make with it. I’m thrilled to be here on the eHow Crafts blog to share with you my fave sewing techniques, free original patterns, embroidery designs, templates, source info (like where to get the best this and that), and tons of inspiration.
My head is spinning with all the fun stuff we can make! And what’s awesome about creativity is that you can’t use it up ~ the more you use, the more you have. (Maya Angelou said that, smart cookie.) So get out your rotary cutter, get out your cutest fabric, and I’ll see you soon!
