Bubble Wrap was created by Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes in 1957. They were trying to create a plastic wallpaper but that concept was a failure. Luckily for them, they used the failure to create a success -- and Bubble Wrap was invented. Sealed Air Corp. was co-founded by Fielding in 1960, and they are still a major Bubble Wrap manufacturer today.
