What is the Bridal Shower Game, Who Knows the Bride Best?

Save

Playing "Who knows the bride the best?" during a bridal shower can lead to surprises, laughter and ultimately finding out how much (or little) you know about the bride. This game typically serves as an icebreaker for guests who don't know each other well and allows the guests to go home knowing more about the bride than before the shower.

How It Works

  • Provide the bride and each guest with a pre-printed page containing 15 to 25 questions about the bride. Each page should contain the same questions. Supply pencils and announce a time limit of 5 to 10 minutes for everyone to fill out their pages. After the allotted time, the bride should read her answers aloud while the guests tally up their correct answers. The bride can answer the questions before the shower as well. Another way to figure out the answers is to go around the room letting guests guess at the answers until someone gets it correct. Have a prize ready for the winner of the game.

Typical Questions

  • Try to mix in some little-known facts or questions that aren't common knowledge. Ask things such as where the bride was born, her first pet, jobs she's held, if she has any tattoos, what she sleeps in and who was her childhood best friend. The bride's favorite color, food, restaurant, band or genre of music are other topics you can cover. Add a few questions about the bride and groom, such as how they met, where they shared their first kiss and how long they've been dating. Common knowledge questions, such as the wedding date and wedding colors are other options.

Variations of the Game

  • Introduce your own spin on the game, or include the groom. For a women-only shower, ask the groom a series of questions beforehand. Coed showers can incorporate who knows the bride and groom, bride or groom or who knows the couple best. Another variation is asking the bride and groom a series of questions separately. Then provide guests with the same questions. Revealing the answers may be more fun as the bride and groom may have different answers. You can also ask the bride to answer the questions as she believes her groom did to see how well they know each other. Guests would guess the percentage of answers the bride will get correct.
