Single Strand NecklaceSingle strand necklaces are ideal for beginners as they are the simplest to create. This type of Swarovski crystal necklace is created the same way other beaded necklaces are. Simply measure a strand of beading wire to fit your neck size, adjusting the length to accommodate how low you would like your necklace to hang. Thread one end of the beading wire onto the ring of the jewelry clasp, creating a loop around the ring with the wire, and crimp the wire into place using a pair of crimping pliers. Then bead your choice of Swarovski crystals onto the necklace in any design pattern you wish. Add the lobster claw clasp to the end of the beaded necklace, create a loop around it and crimp it into place with the crimping pliers, just as you did before. -
Double-Strand NecklaceCreate double strand Swarovski crystal necklaces for a fancier, more advanced necklace. Simply create the necklace just as you would a single strand necklace, but instead of creating one beaded strand, create two. Measure two strands of beading wire with approximately a 1 inch or more difference between the lengths. Create a single strand necklace with one length of beading wire, and then wrap and crimp one end of the remaining beading wire strand to a point on the finished necklace. Bead the second strand, and then wrap and crimp the other end of that beaded strand to the other side of the necklace to create a double strand necklace. -
Teardrop NecklaceTeardrop necklaces contain tiny vertical strands hanging down from the center of them. Make a teardrop necklace by once again beginning with a standard single strand necklace. Measure 1 to 2 inches of beading wire and crimp one end of it to hold the beads in place. Bead Swarovski crystals onto the wire and then wrap the wire around the center of the single strand necklace and crimp it in place. Use an especially decorative Swarovski crystal for the base of your teardrop, such as a butterfly, heart, flower or cluster.
