Power Ranger Birthday Cake Ideas

Power Rangers have been around in the United States since 1992. An entire generation of children have grown up with the Power Ranger ideals. These ideals are standing for what is right, teamwork, confidence, physical activity and close friendship. The Power Rangers are still a favorite children's show. Both boys and girls love a Power Ranger theme birthday party, especially a Power Ranger birthday cake.

Power Ranger Cake Topper

  • Most Power Rangers are a good size to fit on top of a cake. Some of the Zords are too large, though. Visit the toy aisle while shopping for birthday presents. Pick up either the child's favorite large-size Power Ranger or pick up a collection of miniatures. Once your cake is baked and frosted, wash the toys in hot soapy water. Even brand-new toys are still dusty from the manufacturing process. Wipe off the toys and air dry them the rest of the way. Make sure that the toys are completely dry. Any water left on the toys will start to melt the cake frosting. Dab a bit of frosting on the bottom of the toy and place on top of the cake. Remember to save room for the candles. Once the cake is eaten, wash off the toys so they can join the birthday presents.

Power Ranger Cake

  • Print out a Power Ranger from the computer. Cut the Power Ranger out for a template. After baking a sheet cake, let it cool. Place the template on top of the cake and cut around it. Remove the template and the little cut-off pieces of cake. With a pastry brush, sweep off the crumbs. Follow the colors from the template and frost the cake to look like the Power Ranger.

Megazord Cake

  • This type of birthday cake does not require cutting after it is finished. Bake around two dozen cupcakes. Cool them off. Print out one of the Megazords. Cut it out. Use the Megazord template to line up the cupcakes in the proper shape. Make sure that the cupcakes are pushed close together. Frost the cupcakes like it is a regular cake. Use frosting to fill in all the spaces between the cupcakes. Once the base layer of frosting is laid down, use frosting gel, available in tubes at the grocery store, to work on the details. Once the birthday cake is served, the children can just grab a cupcake to eat.
