Hi, this is Ron Call from Harmony Flooring in San Diego, California. Today, I'm going to show you how to remove urine stains from your hardwood floor. Come on, let's go inside, and we'll get started. Alright, we're talking about how to remove pet urine stains out of a hardwood floor. Chances are, if your house smells like dog or cat, the urine is on the surface of the floor. Most of the new hardwood flooring manufactured today has aluminum oxide finish, which makes it pretty hard for anything to penetrate through a surface, so it's probably on top. The first thing that you need to know, is you need to use the manufacturer's recommended cleaning product if, in fact, they have one. Because, if you don't use what they recommend, and you have a claim for any other reason on your floor, the first thing that they're going to ask you is, "What do you use to maintain the floor?" And, if you're not using their product, your warranty's going to be automatically void, and that can be a problem. Anyway, there are several different types of cleaners that you can use if one is not recommended by the manufacturer. And, you can buy those at the Big Box stores, a hardware store. And, what you really need to do is, you get a t-handle terrycloth head mop. And, you have your cleaner, comes in a spray bottle. Spray a little bit on the floor, you don't need very much, just a little bit will do you. And then, just run the mop back and forth across the floor, and clean the floor. It's as simple as that. Should take off pretty much any type of pet odor that you might have. And then, you're good to go.
