Hi, I'm Chris Palmer. Today, we're going to talk about how to remove the trim piece on an inset can light. To remove the trim piece on your can light, all you have to do is get up there on the ladder and pull the trim piece away from the housing a little bit and there's going to be either two wire clip fasteners or maybe a spring connection. And you just ease off the two connections and the whole trim piece will come right away from the ceiling. On this particular model, there are two springs that connect the trim to the can housing. To remove the trim, you just reach up there and slide the springs out of the slot real gentle like that and that's your, that you're trim piece. Another really common style would be two pieces of wire on either side and to remove those, you just squeeze them together and pull down 'cause basically, the, the two pieces of wire go into a slot and then expand with a spring motion and that's what holds the trim together. Thanks for watching. I'm Chris Palmer. That's how you remove the trim piece on your ceiling can light.
