My name is Jenna Lee, with Splurge Events, and today I'm going to show you how to put together a centerpiece with flowers and candles. For this project, you'll need rose petals, a rose, a tulip, three wine glasses and mercury glass candles. For your first step, you'll take your wine glass and your rose petals. And you'll just fill the glass full of the petals. And then, you take your glass, flip it upside down, and place your candle on top. And then, for the next step, you'll take another wine glass. With your tulip, and you want to measure the tulip with the size of the glass, and cut the stem accordingly. And place the tulip inside the glass, flip it over and then, place your mercury glass on top. And then, for the last step, you take your third wine glass and your rose. And for this one, I like to take my rose and open it up with my fingers, a little bit. You'll take the last two rose of petals and you'll bend them back. We're actually going to make this rose look really full and open. You'll go around in a circle and take the next layer of petals and bend them back, as well. And you want to be real gentle, and go real slow, so that your petals don't break. And then, just open up your rose, in the center. Now, it looks really nice and opened. And then, what you'll do, is just cut your stem, pretty short, so that this rose can fit into the wine glass. Once it looks nice and open, you can contain it under the third wine glass. You'll place your rose down and then, fit your wine glass over it. And when you've placed all of your flowers in the wine glasses. It should look something like this. Again, my name is Jenna Lee and today, I've shown you how to put together a centerpiece using flowers and candles.
