I'm Jenna Lee with Splurge Events, and today I'm going to show you how to create a beach themed wedding centerpiece. For this project, you will need a mix of shells with metallic spray paint, different sizes and colored candles with linen fabric, pearl pins, decorative sand, river rocks and glass pedestals. For the first step, I'm going to show you how to wrap the candle in linen fabric and I'm also going to show you how to get this frayed edge. So the first thing you do is you take your fabric and you cut a little slit to get you started. And then you're actually just going to rip the fabric straight down. So the next thing you do is cut the fabric to the size of your candle and you wrap it around, hold it tight and then just secure with a pearl pin. For the next step, you take your candles and you place them in the pedestal and then you take your decorative sand and you pour that around the edge. Then you can just use your hand to smooth the sand around. For the next step, you want to take the spray paint and spray your shells in a well-ventilated area. And then once they've dried, you can start placing your shells in the arrangement. And there's no real right or wrong way to do it, just place them as they fit. When you've them all done, it's going to look something like this. For your place setting, you can take your river rock and your permanent marker and just write the names of your guests directly on the rock. You can also take your linen fabric, a stamping pad and alphabet stamps and stamp the names directly on the fabric. Again, I'm Jenna Lee with Splurge Events and today I've shown you how to create a beach themed wedding centerpiece.
