My name is Jenna Lee with Splurge Events, and today I'm going to show you how to create wedding centerpieces. The items you'll need for this project are a galvanized container, some mason jars, a mix of greenery such as seeded eucalyptus and baby's breath, oasis foam and a knife and glass votive candles. The first step is to take your floral foam and to cut it the size of your container. So you'll just cut down the floral foam and then you fit your foam down tightly in your container. And then you're going to pour your water on top. It does take a lot of water because this floral foam is like a sponge and so it's going to soak up all the water. Once your floral foam is wet, you'll take your candles and you'll press them down into the floral foam. For this particular arrangement, since it's long, we're going to press three candles across and then we'll just start filling in with our greenery and our baby's breath and it just goes directly into the floral foam. And then it will look something like this. Some of the things to keep in mind when making a wedding centerpiece are the size and scale of your arrangement to the size and scale of your table. You also want to make sure that the mix of your arrangements all compliment each other. If you have ten or twenty tables that all have the same centerpiece, it's going to look less special and get lost in the sea of all of those tables. So you might want to consider using two or three centerpiece styles but with a mix of the same elements. And the last thing that you want to consider is that every arrangement that you make especially if friends and family are helping you create your affair, that all of those arrangements are easy to duplicate so that you can give the instructions to friends and family and they can create exactly what you want to see on your wedding day. And again my name is Jenna Lee with Splurge Events and today I've showed you how to create these beautiful wedding centerpieces.
