Hello, this is Jeanette Conner and today, we're going to learn how to make your own holiday card paper. For this project you're going to need a nice colored card stock paper, paints and sponges. I cut my sponges up earlier until we start and a Christmas tree, you can cut this up into any shapes that you want to. But, I think this started Christmas tree looks nice. Glitter glue, any colors you like; I'm going to use red, atrium blue for the star. So, to start, we're just going to fold our paper over, nice and even. Okay. So just crease your paper. Flip it over to the front. So, what you're going to do is you're going to; let's move this over so I can show you; you're going to really smush your sponge down into your paint and make sure you have it completely covered so that you don't get too many blank spots. I like using the sponges 'cause it has a really nice texture and it almost looks like it went through a printing press; but it's so simple to do at home. And then, you're just going to center it on the page where you'd like to put it. Press it straight down, try not to wiggle it at all and then, just pinch the center and pick it up. And there you have your Christmas tree. And we're going to do the same thing on for the star. So, you're just going to press it down with your whole palm there to get really nice and covered and then, put it on top of the three. Ops, on top of the tree and press it down with your whole palm. Try not to wiggle it too much 'cause as you see, I made a couple of boo boos 'cause I wiggled it too much. Luckily, I haver this other one ready to go, you're going to want to let your paint dry all the way before the next step. Just why I have this one pre-made. What you're going to do is you're going to take your glitter glue. I whiz like the top, make the glue go upside down so that it comes out. And you're just going to make some Christmas ornaments on your tree. I'm just going to make a couple here so you can see. And that's really simple and just you know, make Christmas ornaments. If you want to get special, you can take sequence and stick them down or anything else that shiny like that. And then, you're just going to line your star, like so. That is how you make your own Christmas card paper. This was Jeanette Conner and today, we learned how to make your own homemade holiday card paper.
