This would be a good time to talk about whether our clients are clothed or not. With some types of massage clothing is left on such as in Shiatsu or maybe Thai massage. Those are done on mats on the floor and the client can remain clothed. With doing something like Swedish or deep tissue or myofascial release work you want to have full exposure to the extremity or the parts that you're working with. If you client is more comfortable with leaving their underwear on they can do so. It's best once you're positioning though to have them lift their hips just a little and gently take the fabric to move it up and out of the way. Tuck your linen in so that it stays securely in place.
