"Hello, my name is Leslie Miller. I'm a glass painter. I was trained in Hotama, Germany. The apprenticeship takes three years. I've been working as a glass painter for six years now. I'm going to talk about lettering on glass now with a glass paint. First, we need to mix the paint. The paint is grounded glass basically that gets mixed with water and a medium like arabic. It could be any oil or different oils specifically for painting. So, the paint gets mixed and apply to the glass with brushes or all sorts of quilts. So, this is how it's going to look at the end. So, this style we've already prepared. That's a sample. It's basically black lining so, just painting the letters on the glass. It's important that the two mix paint once in a while so the actually the black pigments and the paint get that mix up because they're heavier than water. They will set to the ground. So, that way the paint will stay really black and not lighten up during the painting process. It's naturally more complicated to do round letters than straight ones. I also use the benches as you can see. So, I can slide over the glass without touching it. So off to the painting the lettering needs to be fired and that's how I letter on glass."
