Hello, I'm Crystal Nassar with Tuscany Florist and I'm going to show you how to keep wedding bouquets fresh in the heat. First of all, most important, you need water fresh; clean water for your flowers and we have flower food which is what your florist gives you in a little packets, you can get larger containers for your wedding and put it in all your buckets; read the instructions so you have the right amount. Cut the stems out in an angle so that they're not sitting flat and not drinking water. Oh, that's why florists always cut the stems at an angle. Another really important thing is to try to keep them cool. I know just before the wedding, you, you know, you're going to be in the hot sun for the wedding. But just before the wedding, keep them in a cool room, in an air conditioned room, that's really important. Flowers do not like heat. A lot of florists keep their coolers at thirty eight degrees; that's almost, that's near freezing. So flowers like it cool. Another floral secret is just liquid floral food. If you're making centerpieces that are in clear vases, you don't want to put the powder. It's just going to look like murky, cloudy water. So this is our little secret, it's a clear flower food and you can get that from; you know, a craft store. And Crowning Glory is a solution that we put in spray bottles and it seals in the moisture and this is wonderful for weddings because if it's a hundred degrees out and you have all your centerpieces set out on tables, you can have someone spray them for an hour or two before the wedding starts and your flowers should look just they, you know, came out of the cooler. So this is a wonderful secret, Crowing Glory. Thank you so much. I hope that you enjoyed my demonstration on how to keep wedding bouquets fresh in heat.
