"I would say with a romantic bedroom you would want to incorporate, definitely your warm colors. Your browns, your burgundies, create something that is going to give that sense of relaxation. The lighting in a romantic bedroom is huge. A lot of times I don't use the overhead light or the main lighting in a room. I would use a lamp on a dimmer, or candles, candles are huge. That's what I would say would be, if a client ask me to create a romantic bedroom it would be all about candles, and how I could incorporate that theme throughout the room. Fabric stuff, only like huge plush fabrics. If you can create a layered look on a bed like creating a duvet of blankets, several sheets, several pillows. How do we create a bed that makes people want to jump into the bed versus a bedspread with two pillows at the top. Of you are working with a huge space, and you want to create a romantic inviting environment for two people whom would otherwise get lost in a large space. I think you definitely have to adapt the furniture to fit the space. So if you are working with a large room, then you definitely have a California king bed in there, in addition to the mattress is taking up a large amount of space. You can find furniture that is very dominant. So how do you create a large focal point, which is more than likely going to be a bed in a master romantic bedroom, and then head from that point. So a lot of times if you have a super large space maybe you incorporate a small love seat in there or a small sitting area. Maybe you incorporate a recliner in order to fill up the room so it doesn't seem empty and cold. And then you add all the finishing touches. Whether it is the paint color on the walls or the texture you add huge drapes to really kind of close out some of the natural artificial light to create a well lit, but dim space so that it is inviting for people that are going to use it."
