"Well for a minimalist design, you truly have to have an eye for simplicity. A lot of times and especially in people's home environments they say that they want a minimalist room or a minimalist space. However, it's really hard when you try to incorporate family photographs, pieces of art that mean a lot to you, you know candles, may go to put everything in the room; you're intentional idea was to have a minimalist space and all of a sudden it's junkie or it's clattery, feel like it's not minimalist. So a lot of times it does take a, a third eye or a person going into the room and saying, "Okay, give me three items that we're going to work with and then that's what we're going to base the room around", and being able to eliminate items. A lot of times people can't take their personal emotions and feeling out of it in order to create that minimalist effect 'cause you truly want to create an open airy space that when you walk in, there are neat, clean edges and lines and spaces."
