"Hi. This is Ann Myrick. Today I'm going to show you how to clean your comforter. I have a duvet cover and I have the comforter. What I'm going to do is; you take it apart first. Then you need to decide what the comforter is. Is it polyester? Is it cotton? Is it feather down? This one is feather down. It really is better not to wash them too regularly. I think I've even heard like every two years, every year. You just don't want to wash it too regularly. Depending on the size of it a lot of times they will not fit in your regular washer. So, you; if it fits in your washer you can use the washer. If not you could go to the laundry mat and use an extra large washer. You wash your feather down comforter in cold water, in a mild laundry detergent. You want to read the instructions and be sure that it is not going to hurt or be too strong for your comforter. You can also wash the duvet in your washer at home. One way of drying your comforter so it will be puffy and full is to put three tennis balls in your dryer along with the comforter. That will help it separate and puff and up. This Ann Myrick and that is how you clean a comforter."
