"Hi I'm Ann Myrick and today we're going to talk about how to decorate a studio apartment. Usually a studio apartment is one big room and then the kitchen and bathroom are off to the side and that is it so sometimes they are configured differently and sometimes they are a little bit bigger but it is in a small room and then the kitchen is behind us and so, or really in front of me excuse me. So the thing about the studio apartment is you want to be sure that you are using and you have dual purposes on many things. This is a couch but it makes down into a bed. So I have two things in this, I have my couch but at night I make it down and it becomes my bed. This is a little coffee, I use this as a little coffee table. I have a glass on it so the, if I put food on it it won't hurt the table but then also it is a chest so I can put all types of paperwork in here and all different types of stuff and so the more pieces that you can find where you can use it dual that is the best way because then you save a lot of space. Over here I have the table with the phone and a piece of art but also I have this fun basket that has all of the Winter gloves and the hats in it now and I just put it up here to use it up here but you could also bring it over here and use it as a little table. You could put a little solid piece on it so if you wanted to put a cup of coffee on it it is not going to spill so pieces like this are great to get at a garage sale. I found this basket for $1 at a garage sale and I have used it for tons of things, tables, again to store things in it so remember the garage sales, those are great places to find fun things. The blanket, we need a blanket up here but what I did is I just put it over the railing just so and you could do two or three and just make kind of a different look but also this is where your blankets are stored. I have a small closet here that I'll put a few things but make it clean and neat, make it where it is, you have enough furniture that you need, where you have a comfortable chair, you have what you need but also remember the dual purpose of pieces using the chest as a table, using the basket as a table and as a container to keep your goulashes and gloves and your clothes in. This is Ann Myrick and that is how to decorate the studio apartment."
