Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to tell you about green products for cleaning. This is my field. This is what I do, this is what I've always done and I always say you want to use green cleaning products to clean your house for so many reasons, the most important being the control of your indoor air pollution. Green cleaning products do not create the toxic cocktail of fumes that your family is inhaling. Every time your husband gets home, "oh the house smells good" because you've been using pine cleaner and wood polish and all of these things, it's bad for their lungs. It's bad for babies. It causes asthma. It irritates asthma if people already have it. It's so horrible. Another reason is most green cleaning products are not disinfectants and the reason behind that, most scientists believe that you don't need to disinfect your home. There is a balance inside your home. If you don't go off killing and killing, and killing the germs and bacteria constantly, they'll be a balance. There are good bacteria and bad bacteria already in your home and your good bacteria balances out the bad bacteria. If you use green cleaning products, I promise you, after a year, you will see illness in your home, people getting sick, colds and things like that will almost be none existent. Another thing, they believe staph infections like MRSA are caused by super-bugs that are created from people disinfecting over and over and over again. It works like an anti-biotic and it's created these strands of viruses and things that we don't know how to kill. Not even bleach will kill 'em and bleach was the cause of 'em. So you can make your own gleen, green cleaning surprise on 'em, supplies out of vinegar and water at home in a spray bottle. It'll clean anything. Your wood, your glass, your bath tubs, vinegar and water is the most environmentally friendly cheapest way to clean and it works awesome. You could go to the store and buy green cleaning products. This is how you're going to get the nice smell in your house without the toxic fumes 'cause the smells in green cleaning products are usually all natural.
