"Hi my name is Christine Holanda and I am demonstrating to you today how to make a floral arrangement with fresh fruit. Now first of all you want to choose which fruit you'd like to use. I chose quite a variety to give it a lot of color and a lot of punch. You are more then welcome to use one or more varieties of fruit you know, which ever you prefer. First of all you are going to take the fruit, you are going to fill the bowl with the fruit of choice. You can either slice the fruit, it can be whole fruit. It's really limitless however you want to use it. The key thing to remember when you are using fresh fruit in a bowl of water you need to use distilled water. If you do not use distilled water your water will get very cloudy and very gross, very quickly. Make sure you use distilled water, do not forget about that. What I've done here, is I've taken you know various pieces of fruit. I've places a very small piece of foam in the middle just to kind of give me something to work with. The foam I've used is a floral foam. You can get that at any local craft shop and right now I'm just greening it up, getting it ready to insert the flowers. You can use any type of greens you want. I've chosen leather fern, it's a very nice fill. It gives you a nice look and then I'm adding some tree fern just for a little fru fru on top of that. Next I'm going to add Gerber Daisies you can either have just little heads like I have. I'm going to make a very compact kind of arrangement. You can use taller, you can make it tall with the curly willow, with birch branches, anything like that. I'm just doing a little kind of compact design here. This is what we call pavey. Which means it's all about the same size and shape. Here we go. And then we put one in the middle. And you are finished. Very simple and this is how you use fresh fruit in a floral arrangement."
