"Hi my name is Christine Holanda and I'm the owner of Lily of the Vally Florist in La Quinta, California and today I am going to show you how to make a nosegay wedding bouquet. We start with our flowers typically a nosegay is dainty and for the flower girl or the junior bridesmaid or whatever so whichever flower you choose to use should be somewhat dainty and not overpowering. I've chosen Alstroemeria because it is just beautiful it's pink, it's very girly and very soft and very subtle. You just kind of place the blooms together and it is supposed to be somewhat of a free flowing feel, it is not supposed to be very stuffy so I would suggest just kind of placing them in your hand not necessarily in a spiral just so that you get the desired effect. This is very nice and free and girly. We are going to add some green to the bottom just to crown it, always make sure you check your greens for any pieces that may have been broken off and then we add our filler which I have chosen the misty blue which is also a very soft filler and we are going to place that throughout to soften the overall effect. Now I have cut two pieces prior to, I've cut two pieces of sticky floral tape about six inches long and you just wrap that around to secure it. You don't want to do it very tight because these are delicate flowers and the heads will pop off and then you take the other piece about six inches long as well, put that around the bottom and then you cut it to the desired length. Then you are going to take the ribbon and wrap it to cover your stems and your tape and again you don't want this terribly tight, these Altsroemeria are pretty delicate. Then you cut the ribbon, this end will fray so you want to fold it under and just secure it with a corsage pin which is available at any local craft store. You can use any color that you would like once you are finished with that and make a nice bow. Then you look and you find the side that is the side that you want displayed and you attach the bow to the bottom and you wrap it around the back and then bring it around the front and these are going to be your tails for your bow. Tie it in a knot, fluff your bow and this is how you make a nosegay wedding bouquet."
