"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to talk about how to design the home office of your dreams. In this clip, let's talk about supplies. If you can't find it, you can't use it. By that, I mean you need to know where your supplies are and you need to be organized. It's so important. You can't just have everything in a mish mash in your office. You want to make sure that the things that you have actually work. By that, I mean your pens. You want to have a good stock of pens, pencils, and highlighters if you need that. What I always like to do too with supplies is have a stapler handy and some tape handy. No matter where you put them, it's always a nice idea to get organizers for your supplies. Then you can keep things together. I've got rulers and scissors in here. I've got my pens and erasers in there. I know where everything is in the room. I've got pencils over there as well. I know where my envelopes are, where my stamps are, where paper is, where spare light bulbs are, and all of those things. Again, it will save you time in the long run to know where your supplies are and to be stocked as well so that you don't just necessarily have one ink jet cartridge for your printer. Then if it runs out ink, you're not going to be able to finish that or that contract for in time for a client to be able to send off or take to them. It's always a good idea to have a few extra supplies on hand as well."
